It has been said that driving a motor vehicle is possibly the most technically difficult activity that the average person will ever undertake. Yet despite it’s complexity, drivers generally take to the road in a totally unprepared state. For the most part drivers are taught ‘How to pass a test’ rather than ‘How to drive’.

In response to the need for a more comprehensive program incorporating both the practical and theoretical aspects of driver training the Holden Performance Driving Centre have developed a range of courses to choose from in an attempt to improve road safety, particularly those who are most at risk, drivers under the age of 25.

Our Level One Course offers participants the opportunity to further enhance their knowledge and their driving technique. It focuses on vehicle balance, smoothness and mentally ‘switching on’ in a crisis, controlled braking, hazard perception and cornering lines. Our Level Two Course covers more specialised and in-depth training. It offers continued technique instruction, including evasive lane change exercises and threshold breaking. Skid pan, training focuses on skid control and vehicle dynamics such as the perception and control of understeer. Oversteer recovery training is conducted utilising the Centre's unique vehicle turntable. For further details please see the Level 2 Course Overview.

To participate in our Level Three Course participants must hold a Level Two Certificate. Training is much more advanced and is carried out in a more powerful training car; most activities are also done at greater speeds than a Level Two Course. The centre also offers a Four Wheel Drive Course designed to provide participants with a solid grounding in off road techniques as part of an introduction to the world of four wheel drive motoring, for further details please see the 4WD Course Overview.

The skills required in motorsport racing are formed using a basic technique, which can be taught by experienced, qualified instructors. The Holden Performance driving centre is proud to be an endorsed service provider for CAMS competition licence applicants. With all of our courses offering a solid grounding in driving technique and defensive manoeuvres, participants will become aware of how the combination of correct driving technique, correct attitudes, accepting their responsibility as road users and fully understanding vehicle dynamic behaviour will give them a very large safety advantage.

Please be aware that vouchers are valid for (6) six months from date of issue and will not be honoured after that time without prior arrangements. Vouchers MUST be presented at time of redemption.
Neither the beneficiary of this voucher nor the purchaser shall be entitled to a refund in the event of a cancellation with less than 24 hours notice or upon failure to attend. Vouchers are non-refundable, refunds under special circumstances are entirely at the discretion of the Manager and if given, may be subject to an administration fee of 15% of the gift certificate value.
Vouchers are transferable and can be upgraded, they CANNOT be replaced so please keep your voucher in a safe place.
